The Office of State Finance is releasing new acceptable use procedures for USB Removable Media devices. These new standards are located in the Information Security Policy, Procedures and Guidelines (APPENDIX E: Revisions #4). http://www.ok.gov/cio/Policy_and_Standards/
A new Statewide Contract will be released for the USB Flash Drives. Until the statewide contract is released, agencies will be required to follow standard purchasing procedures for procurement of these devices. Only the devices listed below may be purchased, effective immediately:
IronKey
Personal - all sizes, minimum 2GB
Enterprise - all sizes, minimum 2GB
IronKey Enterprise Management Service, to include purchase price and/or annual maintenance fees
Kanguru
Defender Basic - all sizes, minimum 2GB
Defender V2 - all sizes, minimum 2GB
Defender Elite - all sizes, minimum 2GB
Kanguru Remote Management Console, to include purchase price and/or annual maintenance fees
Kingston DataTraveler
Vault - all sizes, minimum 2GB
Vault Managed* - all sizes, minimum 2GB
4000 - all sizes, minimum 2GB4000 Managed* - all sizes, minimum 2GB
5000 - all sizes , minimum 2GB
SafeConsole for Kingston (*required purchase for use of Managed class devices), to include purchase price and/or annual maintenance fees
McAfee
Encrypted USB Standard - all sizes, minimum 2GB
This item will only be purchased by those agencies already owning McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator or equivalent McAfee encryption management software
Agencies will be required to submit an OSF Form 115 for approval prior to the purchase of any devices.
